[Translated from Thai] Thailand's National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) gave the nod to continue. Closed tenders sought in bid to restart Dawei SEZ by October.
"Myanmar wants to speed up the project, as it has been long delayed", said Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks,Vice President of Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA).
The first three projects planned for the initial phase of the SEZ are two-lane road, a small port, and small industrial whicj will cover up 30-40 square kilometres, or one fifth of the entire project area.
